Two vanilla absolutes married to Siam benzoin, with Ambroxan, tonka and cedar carrying the trail.

Description

Vanille-Benjoin by Affinessence stages an unlikely coup de foudre. The house married two grades of vanilla — the Madagascar absolute, leathery-accented and intensely fragrant, and the softer Tahiti absolute — to a precious alter ego: benzoin from Siam, an odorous gum from Laos prized for its balsamic, almondy facets. While Ambroxan, wrapped in tonka bean and cedar from Morocco and China, distils its carnal breath, benzoin transcends the vanilla with intoxicating notes that carry the trail further still.

Key notes: Madagascar and Tahiti vanilla absolutes, Siam benzoin, Ambroxan, tonka bean, cedar

Perfumers: Corinne Cachen and Sophie Bruneau
