Cuir-Curcuma

Turmeric used in perfumery for the first time: golden-milk spice against full-grain leather.

Description

Unprecedented in perfumery and native to Kerala, turmeric is used for the very first time in a fragrance by Affinessence. A lactonic note enriches the precious root, releasing the spiced gourmand explosion of “curcuma-latte” — the millennia-old Indian drink also known as golden milk. While myrrh, sandalwood and patchouli display their singularity, a spectacular full-grain leather note seizes the composition and imposes its animal power. Gourmand luxury and torrid sensuality compete for the lead in this bouquet of addictive notes with an insolent trail.

Key notes: turmeric, lactonic accord, myrrh, sandalwood, patchouli, leather

Perfumers: Alexandra Carlin and Sophie Bruneau
