Nestled in Indonesia and long out of reach for conventional perfumery, natural oud wood (agarwood) is a genuine treasure for perfumery as an art. Affinessence chose to pair it with a very fine patchouli essence to draw out new facets. Heightened by a dazzling array of natural materials — Java vetiver, cistus and labdanum, elemi and incense, guaiac wood and tree moss — the duo turns incandescent, while the reworked patchouli develops a luxurious trail.
